The historic meeting held in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye to speak with one voice against the coup attempt continued with a speech by Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım. In his speech, Yıldırım thanked the masses who took to the streets, the deputies who remained in Parliament despite the attacks on the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, the security forces, and the media institutions. Yıldırım said, "Last night's attack was so heinous that it targeted both the essence and the body of the Parliament, where the national will is represented. These are not soldiers, but rather terrorists posing as soldiers."
