While following up the measures taken against the coup attempt, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu responded to the calls of the foreign affairs ministers of foreign countries and told them about the coup attempt in Türkiye. Çavuşoğlu who emphasized that state was under the control of the legitimate government, requested FETO leader Fetullah Gülen to be extradited, in his conversation with the US Secretary of State John Kerry.
