Free public transportation for citizens
After the coup attempt of July 15, citizens were not charged for public transportation in Istanbul and Ankara. In the second statement made by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, it was announced that public transportation will be free until Monday and continue on 24-hour basis. It was announced that transportation services in Şanlıurfa and Konya would also be free of charge for 3 days.
