The police organized an operation to Kuleli Military Highschool in Istanbul Çengelköy. 80 students of Kuleli Military High School were detained on the grounds of participation in the coup attempt. In the statement made when nearly 200 unarmed privates and noncommissioned officers who came out from General Staff that was occupied on the evening of July 15 surrendered, it was reported that 563 people were detained countrywide, on the grounds of being a member of the armed terror organization FETO.
