Cost of the coup attempt
Substitute Chief of General Staff Full General Ümit Dündar stated that the coup d’état attempt has been rejected by the TAF chain of command from the first moment. Dündar reported that 563 soldiers were detained and 104 was captured dead. Dündar stated that we had 90 martyrs of which 47 are civilians, 41 are police officers, 2 are soldiers and 1154 injured, and said, “we are determined to clean the members of the parallel structure from Turkish Armed Forces”.
